The event which was organized with the aim of empowering young women through the mentorship and
achievements of well-known personalities in the society witnessed three prominent individuals thus Mr.
Kafui Dey, Mrs. Dzigbordi Dosoo and Rev. Suzzy Lamptey gracing the event.
Chaired by Lecturer Nancy Dogbe, participation on the part of students was on a high side compared to
the maiden edition.
The whole outline of the program was divided into three segments with Kafui Dey, Mrs. Dzigbordi
Dosoo and Rev. Suzzy Lamptey speaking on the following topics, “Image Building, Rising above the
Status quo and 21 st Century Virtuous Woman” respectively.
Each of the segments were very interactive as the speakers involved the audience with questions and
answers. Though the event was mainly organized for young ladies, it had a good number of gentlemen
participating (250) to be precise.
All these speakers were able to digest their various topics to the understanding of the audience.
The program was engineered by the women’s commissioner, Ms. Grace Djima and supported by the SRC
and the women’s committee. This is an annual event which was engineered by the 8 th SRC women’s
commissioner Ms. Sheila Adjetey.
