This full-time, twenty-four-month MSc program has been designed to combine advanced level theory and practice in Computer Science. It teaches advanced techniques and ideas that are being developed in application domains (such as graphics, visualization, engineering and computer security), the rich and diverse theories that underpin them. These include models of computation and data and mathematical analysis of programs and algorithms.
Students will have the opportunity to specialize in any of the specified areas within the duration of the program. This will equip them with contemporary skills in research in this era of technological advancement. This programme also prepares students for active participation in research projects, either as graduate students or in industrial research projects, as well as for advanced professional activities in a broader field.
Those who complete the program will be able to perform critical analysis, apply their knowledge in the field of computer science and independently acquire new knowledge required.
Curriculum and Lecture Period
The academic programme is split into two terms, one (1) year of course work in Ghana and one (1) year of research work in China with Jiangsu University of Science & Technology (JUST). The one-year research work comes with a scholarship package awarded by JUST.
Admission Requirement
Applicant must hold either a good first degree in computer science, ICT or closely related or relevant discipline.
