Founder - Elder Dr. Ernest Ansah

Elder Dr. Ernest Ansah attended Pope John Secondary School, Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana and the University of Ghana where he studied Psychology. He studied for Advanced Diploma in Information Technology in London and later on obtained MBA – International Business with City of London Institute of Technology – London. He further studied for MA in Applied Educational Leadership & Management.

Elder Dr. Ernest Ansah is an educationist who had worked in many capacities such as Assistant Registrar with the Judicial Service of Ghana. He also served as a Military Police officer in the Ghana Army.
He was the CEO of Black Caesar studios.

He worked with Guinness Nigeria Limited Cooperate thrift before travelling to the UK.

In the UK, Dr. Ernest Ansah worked with many hospitality establishments. He was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of City Connections and Services – a tour operating company in London with offices in Germany, Amsterdam and Belgium providing hospitality services.

He worked with the London Borough of Islington as traffic data collection and evaluation officer and with the London Borough of Newham as an Educational Welfare Officer where he was able to turn around (6) six ‘Failing Schools’ to become the most prestigious schools in the Borough.

Dr. Ernest Ansah took up the challenging position of a Housing and a Legal Officer with  the Northampton Borough Council in the UK and proud himself as the only person able to present and defend as many as 514 cases at the UK County Courts without losing a single case.

Dr. Ernest Ansah founded Data Link Institute with Ingrid Ansah and they respectively served as the President and Vice President of the Institute for two years (2006-2008). Dr. Ernest Ansah now works closely with Educational Governing Councils, Presidents and Heads of other tertiary institutions in the UK and USA as an advisor. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the University of North Carolina – USA.

As philanthropists

Dr. Ernest Ansah collaborated with University of Derby and other UK Universities through Mrs. Jo Shields and they supplied over 8,000 free computers to 214 secondary schools, nursing homes and Police stations across Ghana. 

 

Personal life and interests

He has a keen interest in the educational life of the youth, particularly the underprivileged ones in Africa, which he committed himself to addressing by establishing an educational institute.

He loves music, dancing and he prouds himself as a  ‘POJOBA’, an alumnus of Pope John Secondary School, Koforidua, Ghana.

Life Patron

Mrs. Jo Shields is very instrumental and committed to the goal of providing computer literacy to less privileged Ghanaian students.

Through her resourcefulness and dedication, Data Link was able to distribute and install more than eight thousand(8,000) computers in over one hundred and twenty(120) second cycle schools in Ghana free of charge between 1993-2003.

Due to the immense contributions made to the success of the company, Ms. Hasbury has been made the Life Patron of Data Link Institute (University College).
